Context
Michael Brown, an unarmed black teenager, was shot dead on August 9 by Darren Wilson. The complexity of this case it's the inconsistency with witness statements. "Some witnesses say the teenager assaulted the officer at the outset and tied to grab his gun; other witness say Wilson was the aggressor. All accounts agree that Brown ran and then turned back" (CNN) Also in this Huffington Post reveals there were inconsistencies with the evidence. The information Wilson, police officer, first interview conflicts with his testimony. This has led to protests through out the US. This Grand Jury did not decide if Wilson was innocent or guilty. What the jury decided whether or not this should go to trial. The Huffington Post article posted above does a great job of clearing the what this decision means. This case is not like Zimmerman's because he had a verdict of not-guilty. Wilson will not be going to trial.

What makes this case different is that the prosecutor decided to releasing the testimony and other evidence presented to the grand jury.

The Final Jury
Three black people are among the 12 members of the grand jury. The entire grand jury consists of six white men, three white women, two black women and one black man. Only nine votes are needed to indict. "According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the racial makeup of the grand jury is similar to the racial breakdown of St. Louis County, which is about 24 percent black and about 68% white" (CBS News). The decision that these jurors made not to indict cause many people to protest. The world to find out this news and protest in their countries.

This video lets people view how people are reaction form one side of the country to the other. People feel angry that the evidence against Wilson was enough to be sent to trial. With the decision of indiction people are questioning the system that is suppose to protect them and give them rights.

With the protest of people trying to get the government see that black lives matter members. While people are protesting the KKK are preparing for "war" because they believe that the protesters are being violent and to much violent so they are giving guns away.
